Bereits gestern (29. Juni) erschien Joomla 4.0.0 Alpha 10.
Eigentlich sollte eine Beta im Juni folgen... diese wurde - wie so oft(!) - nun auf den Juli verlegt.
Leider kann man nirgends nachlesen warum.

Wie immer bei einer Alpha gilt: Nur zu Testzwecken!

Unterschiede Alpha 9 und Alpha 10:

• Various bug fixes from Alpha 9
• Merge of the Joomla 3.9.3 and 3.9.4 releases
• Implementation of prepared statements
  
• Removal of com_search. Joomla 3.x comes with two different search systems: Search and Smart Search. It has been decided to drop com_search in Joomla 4 Core to keep only one search system, Smart Search, which has been highly improved.
  Com_search will still be maintained but will be decoupled and available on the Downloads site.
  The recommended process for our com_search users will be pretty easy: disable the search modules, enable com_finder (if not already enabled) and run the indexer. If you’re already using com_finder, you’ll just need to reindex your content once your site is upgraded to Joomla 4.
  We intend to publish as soon as possible a dedicated blog post to provide more information and guidance to help our users and developers.

Joomla 4.0.0 Beta wurde auf Oktober (also 4. Quartal!) verlegt!

Wie so oft muss man (leider) sagen, dass dies wieder nicht eingehalten wurde!
Die Beta 4.0.0 wurde nun auf irgendwann im November verlegt.

Bereits am 17. Oktober *staunt, da er öfters nachsieht und dies nicht sah* (glaube nämlich eher, dass dieses Datum, der Alpha, erst angepasst wurde als das Datem auch der Beta angepasst wurde) wurde Joomla 4.0.0 Alpha 12 released.

Die Beta 4.0.0 wurde nun auf irgendwann im November verlegt.

Wie ihr sicherlich bemerkt habt, wurde auch dieser Termin nicht eingehalten.
Mich wundert es aber nicht mehr!
Es steht sogar immer noch November 2019 für die Beta in der Veröffentlichung.
Dies wird sich aber (wohl) bald ändern, da ich dies hiermit public gemacht habe (weil sich oft dann dort auch was ändert; wie auch immer das im Zusammenhang stehen mag).
